AC Shadows Introduces Surprising AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the official statement, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of banned ceremonies and terrifying transformations echo through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The adventure centers on "strange trials and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Extra Features
Players who finish the quest will receive an exclusive katana alongside multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Latest Free Story Content
This update also brings the game's latest no-cost story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive skills: Naoe reveals a theatrical variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-fatal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some lingering questions from the main storyline.

This marks hardly the first time the Assassin's Creed franchise has partnered with well-known anime franchises. The series previously showcased a 2020 collaborative story linking Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
